These terms and conditions will govern membership in OurRaceCar.com.  

Membership

Membership is activated upon receipt of US$50 for an annual membership (or 24 months if payer has paid for 24 months, or 36 months if payer has paid for 36 months). Membership will entitle you to one vote on all major decisions associated with the operations of a successful racing operation. Such as the choosing of the team manager, drivers, pit crew etc.

Of the US$50 payment, $40 (80%) goes towards starting OurRaceCar.comRacing and to cover operating costs. The remainder, i.e. $10 (20%), goes towards the administration of the OurRaceCar.com website. The membership fee is annual; members can choose to set up recurring payments. Members also have the option to purchase more than one year at a time. Anyone who hasn’t set up recurring payments or purchased for more than one year will be notified at the beginning of their final month of membership, they must arrange to renew their membership before the end of the 12th month of membership to ensure they do not lose any position in seniority. 

 Section A – Payments prior to the purchase of the race car team

On payment of the annual membership fee prior to the purchase of a race car team:

1.       Payer becomes a member of the website OurRaceCar.com for twelve months (or 24 months if payer has paid for 24 months, or 36 months if payer has paid for 36 months) from the launch date (The launch date refers to the formation of “OurRaceCar.com Racing,” and the purchase of a racing car.)

2.       If no attempt to start OurRaceCar.com Racing (including the purchase of a racing car) has been made by the termination date (which is 12 months from the first membership payment received) a vote will be held to decide whether to extend the termination date (by 4, 6, or 12 months) or for members to receive a refund. Each member will have one vote and all votes will be held via the internet.

3.       In the case of a refund members will receive $40 which represents the portion paid minus the $10 designated for operating costs. If a member has purchased multiple year memberships, the operating costs representing 20% of the payment will not be refunded. .  

Section B – Payments after purchase of the race car team  

On payment of the annual membership fee after the purchase of a race car team: 

1.       Payer becomes a member of OurRaceCar.com for twelve months (or 24 months if payer has paid for 24 months, or 36 months if payer has paid for 36 months) from the date of receipt of payment.

2.       The annual membership fee continues to be US$50 of which US$10 continues to be used for operating the website. The balance will be reinvested in the race car team as appropriate or could be used to purchase other cars or form another racing team. Decisions such as these will be taken by a vote of the membership.

Section C – Terms relating to all payments

1.       Each payer must at the time of payment be (i) over 16 years of age; and (ii) have read and agreed to these terms and conditions for membership. If at any time the payer violates the terms and conditions they may have their membership cancelled with no option of a refund.

2.       Any cancellation of membership whether by request of the member or of OurRaceCar.com’s administration will not be subject to a refund.

3.       Each payer acknowledges and agrees that their payments are being made to fund the acquisition and management of a racing team and that the fee is in no way refundable (except as listed in Section A -2).

Section D – General Terms and Conditions

1.       Members are only permitted to join OurRaceCar.com for personal enjoyment. Their membership has no financial value and cannot be transferred or sold.

2.       Members who vote with the intention of undermining and degrading OurRaceCar.com may have their membership rights suspended.

3.       Each member agrees that they will not open, administer or create a website of similar content and with similar intentions during their period as a member and for a period of 12 months after their membership has ended. Additionally members acknowledge that any breach of this term may result in an injunction being filed against them for any damages or losses caused to members of OurRaceCar.com by the breach.
